Duncan Preece

Duncan began his career as a clinical oncology specialist at London’s renowned Royal Marsden Hospital. After several years in practice, he pivoted to healthcare leadership, earning an MSc and MBA before leading international medical recruitment at CHUV in Switzerland and later consulting for Ernst & Young Consulting (today EY) with academic hospitals and multinationals. He also taught HR management at Webster University in Geneva.

Diagnosed with ALK-positive lung cancer in 2018, Duncan joined the Medical Committee and Board of ALK Positive Inc. (US) which he still holds today. Recognizing a gap in Canada, he spearheaded the creation of ALK Positive Canada (APC), incorporated in January 2025. At APC, he drives strategy, builds collaborations with Canadian oncology experts, and expands global partnerships in the ALK space.

Based in Montreal, Duncan is a lifelong foodie, world traveler, and proud husband and father to three children.
