Vivian McIntyre

Meet Vivian McIntyre, Board Secretary for ALK Positive Canada. She’s been a patient navigating metastatic ALK+ non-small cell lung adenocarcinoma since 2019.

Vivian enjoyed a stimulating and rewarding career as a Medical Laboratory Technologist in Alberta. During that time, she was also the Chair of her local union, actively participating in contract negotiations. Inspired by her professional roles and subsequent personal experiences following diagnosis, she joined ALK Positive Canada and is gratified to have the opportunity to advocate for more awareness, equitable treatment and advancing research for ALK-positive cancers across Canada. Vivian is passionate about contributing to make a positive impact and connecting with others in the ALK+ community.

Vivian currently resides in a picturesque pocket of the Maritimes. Occasionally, she ventures out to embark on an exciting new global adventure with her husband, Michael.
